ATF Compliance Statement
Imbert & Smithers Inc is a federally licensed firearms dealer operating under Federal Firearms License (FFL) issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). We operate in full compliance with the Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA), the National Firearms Act (NFA), and all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing the sale, transfer, and shipment of firearms.
All firearm sales are conducted through licensed FFL dealers in the buyer’s state of residence. We maintain all records required by ATF regulations and cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies in compliance with federal law.
Age Verification
We strictly enforce age requirements for all firearm purchases. Handguns and handgun ammunition require the buyer to be at least 21 years of age. Long guns (rifles and shotguns) require the buyer to be at least 18 years of age. Age verification is performed by the FFL dealer at the time of transfer through government-issued photo identification.
Prohibited Persons
Federal law prohibits the sale of firearms to any person who: has been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for more than one year; is under indictment for such a crime; is a fugitive from justice; is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance; has been adjudicated as a mental defective or committed to a mental institution; is an illegal alien; has been discharged dishonorably from the Armed Forces; has renounced U.S. citizenship; is subject to a domestic restraining order; or has been convicted of domestic violence.
By placing an order, you certify under penalty of law that you are not a prohibited person as defined above.
State Restrictions
Certain products we sell may be restricted or prohibited in specific states. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that any product you purchase is legal in your state and jurisdiction. We will not ship any product to a state where it is prohibited. We reserve the right to cancel orders for products that cannot be legally shipped to the customer’s location.
NFA Items
We do not sell National Firearms Act (NFA) regulated items including machine guns, suppressors, short-barreled rifles, or short-barreled shotguns without proper ATF Form 4 registration. All products sold on this website are non-NFA items intended for legal use by qualified persons.
