The Flatback Invincible Glock Switch represents an evolved design philosophy in Glock fire control components. The name refers to the flat-profile rear housing that eliminates the protruding element found on conventional selector designs, creating a flush, snag-free profile that integrates seamlessly with the Glock’s rear slide serrations and does not interfere with holster draw or reholstering.
The flat-back profile is the result of extensive ergonomic analysis and user feedback from shooters who identified the protruding rear housing of conventional designs as a potential snag point in certain holster configurations and during rapid manipulation drills. By recontouring the rear surface to match the slide’s flat plane, the Invincible eliminates this concern without sacrificing any functional element of the mechanism.
Construction uses a dual-material approach: the primary housing is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel for maximum rigidity and corrosion resistance, while the external surfaces feature a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating that provides a hardness rating exceeding 2,000 HV on the Vickers scale — substantially harder than any conventional anodize or Cerakote finish and comparable to hardened tool steel.
The internal geometry has been refined from our standard selector switch with tighter tolerances on all critical contact surfaces. Dimensional variation across production batches is held to ±0.0005 inches using closed-loop CNC feedback systems, ensuring every unit performs identically from the first round to the ten-thousandth.
The Flatback Invincible is compatible with Glock 17, 17L, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 31, 32, 34, 35, and other models sharing the standard Glock MOS/standard slide profile. The flat-back design also eliminates compatibility concerns with aftermarket rear sight plates on MOS models.
