The Glock 17 Compatible Pistol Build Kit is the most complete starting point available for builders who want to construct a Glock 17-pattern pistol from the ground up. This comprehensive kit assembles the primary components required to build a functional Glock 17-compatible pistol around a separately acquired or already-completed Glock 17-pattern frame, providing exceptional value over purchasing individual components separately.
The centerpiece of this kit is the complete slide assembly — a CNC-machined 17-4 stainless steel Glock 17-compatible slide with factory-style dimensions and finish. The slide is machined to accept standard Glock 17 barrels, sights, and internal components. The included threaded barrel is machined from 416 stainless steel with 1/2-28 TPI muzzle threads for suppressor or muzzle device attachment, finished with a salt bath Melonite surface treatment that provides corrosion resistance exceeding factory Glock nDLC treatment.
The kit includes a complete upper parts kit comprising: spring-loaded bearing, firing pin assembly, firing pin safety, extractor with depressor plunger assembly, slide cover plate, and recoil spring assembly. All upper parts are machined or formed from appropriate materials and heat-treated to specification. These are the identical components required to complete a slide assembly from a bare machined slide.
The lower parts kit included contains all components needed to assemble a complete trigger group and magazine release assembly: complete Glock 17 compatible trigger assembly with trigger bar, connector (standard 5.5-lb configuration), trigger spring, trigger pin, trigger housing, slide stop lever, slide stop spring, magazine catch assembly, locking block, and locking block pin. These parts are compatible with both 80% build frames and factory Glock 17 frames.
Two 17-round Glock-compatible magazines are included — constructed from a polymer body with a stainless steel magazine catch lip and a high-visibility follower. The magazines are function-compatible with factory Glock 17 frames and aftermarket 80% frames meeting standard Glock 17 frame dimensions.
This kit does not include a serialized frame or upper receiver. A separately acquired frame (such as our Glock 17 compatible 80% frame) is required to complete a functional pistol.
