The gold PVD finish is applied through a vacuum deposition process that bonds elemental gold atoms directly to the aluminum substrate at a molecular level, creating a coating that is genuinely harder and more adherent than electroplated gold. The substrate is the same 7075-T6 aluminum billet, machined to the same dimensional tolerances on the same CNC equipment. The internal contact surfaces receive the same mirror polishing process. The PVD coating is applied after final machining to ensure dimensional accuracy is not compromised by the coating process.
